Beautiful red 1963 Mercury Comet S-22 Convertible Sportster comes with bucket seats and has a sporty, classy look. It definitely is an attractive car, as I receive compliments all the time.

It is equipped with a great running 289 2 barrel, 4 speed manual transmission and a 9” differential. This car is of high performance and runs great! New front suspension tie rods and bushings and new rear leaf springs. The newer electric convertible top functions great and goes up and down in less than 15 seconds and has no tears. Also the red/white interior has no tears. It is equipped with electronic ignition and starts on a dime. The floor boards will need replacement, but the main frames are in good condition. An underframe was added for reliability and stabilization. I will be happy to place the vehicle on my lift and show you underneath. It has a new gas tank. Years ago it was repainted red to match the original color. The paint looks good from 10 feet, but does have some nicks and dings as you get close. There is a little exterior rust on the driver side lower rear wheel well quarter panel and some on the passenger lower door. It has the famous six-bullet taillights and lots of chrome with the S-22 emblems for a classy stylish look. Only 5,757 S-22 convertibles were made in 1963, who knows how many exist today. Frankly, I bought this for my wife, but she can’t handle the combination of the stick and power it has. This car is registered in Arizona but is currently located in Los Angeles, California.
