Seriously built 1969 Mustang Mach 1 Tribute – not just stickers and a spoiler. Originally equipped with a 351 Windsor 2bbl, now powered by a 1970 351 Cleveland 4bbl, which runs very strong. Engine has a Holley 750 on top of an Edelbrock intake. Ignition is full MSD, with a new digital box, wires and distributor. Headers into full exhaust with quad tips sound great. Trans is a rebuilt FMX unit that shifts like new. Less than 5k miles on the drivetrain. Engine has a healthy street cam – give a listen to the engine in the driving video (link below). 24″ big block radiator keeps the engine running cool.
Recent red paint with Mach 1 front and rear spoilers, window louvers, hood pins and stripes. A new set of 15″ Magnum 500s and 235-60-15 BFG Radial T/A tires complete the look. The hood scoop came with the car from the factory as it was ordered with the ‘Sports Appearance Group’ when new, per the Marti Report. Car is also equipped with dual sport mirrors (remote driver’s side), power steering and power disc brakes.
The interior is updated with new Mach 1 buckets and Shelby style gauges in the console (vintage SW gauges). Custom Autosound provides the cruising music. New door panels, trim, seals and window sweeps make for a tight, comfortable interior.
There are many new parts under the hood, including all wires, hoses, fluids and belts. The engine bay has been detailed for a factory look and it runs as good as it looks.
The body and floors are in great shape. This is a driver/weekend show car that is fast and fun to drive – no excuses. No expense was spared to make this tribute both look and perform as well as any Mach 1 out there. The car is 54 years old, so no warranties or guarantees – sold as is/where is.
