This car was the first production car that was sold in 1969 from Saddleback Dodge in California. This muscle car is the Saddleback Dodge Pilot Car #52 as seen in the picture in the June 1969 issue of Drag Racing magazine. This is the first road test and magazine article done on the Dodge Dart 440GTS. This article is the reference standard for the 440GTS. The car has 37.6k miles, is all original. Car is an ‘M’ code, always been stored inside. I have dealer paperwork to the car, + the buildsheet, window sticker, and other owner documents.
I have owned the car since June 1985, and am the second owner. All numbers matching engine and transmission. Restored stock drivetrain, new brakes, new exhaust, and new gas tank. Redline tires and factory exhaust tips. Engine has been bored .030 over. Additional parts include a cast iron Six Pack set-up with air cleaner, a factory dual-point distributor,correct numbers carb., Additional hood call-outs and other parts.
