1961 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. I am an investor collector and just acquired this car from a gentleman that got the car as part of a divorce settlement. He had no desire to own the car. There is very little known about the car except it was owned by his ex-wife’s grandfather. The car is solid and appears to be rust free. Starts, runs and drives fair but probably could use a tune up, possibly some carburetor work, and general TLC. Brakes may also need some attention and tires are older. Radiator has been replaced but hoses will need some adjustment as there is some leaking. Car has the 390ci motor, power windows, power driver’s seat, and power top (hydraulic for the top will need some attention). Top is in decent shape and currently goes up and down manually. Interior is very good with the exception of the center console, no cracks in the dash or steering wheel. Red is the original color for the car but it does appear to have been repainted at some point in its history. Overall, the paint is good and has a nice gloss to it but there are a few paint chips. Chrome on the car is in very good condition. This car isn’t perfect, but for 61 years old, it’s pretty good. And… it’s a convertible. More photos available. Offers considered.
