What can best be described as an “old school” Harley, this bike has only had 2 owners. This bike was born as a Softail Custom but for the sake of getting more rubber on the road the first owner changed the rim, tire and fender over to what would be more of a heritage softail frontend.

The second owner (a friend of the first owner) purchased the bike in 2011 when the bike had 20,900 miles on it.
The new owner installed the 14” chrome apehangers bars and moved the directionals off the handlebars to a chrome light bar mounted to the forks. The directional and tailights are chrome with “smoked” plastic lenses. The switch housing on both handlebars were upgraded to a chrome and the handle/throttle parts are blue coated parts that have held their shine and finish flawlessly. At this point chrome fork legs were installed.
A HD engine guard was installed on the frame with the necessary bottom mounting plate and folding foot pegs finish up the laid back look and feel while cruising. On the crash bars are chrome foglamps for extra illumination with chrome visors switched to an ignition wire so they can’t be left on. These foglamps are easily removed. The usual smaller Softail custom headlamp was replaced with a 7.5” chrome headlight with a 2 level Halogen HD lamp that casts unbelievable light. The S&S carbs work lawlessly with no popping and steady acceleration.
In 2011 the very popular stock EVO 1340cc motor had a critical failure when 2 roller bearings broke at 34,422 miles. That motor was replaced under a HD program that would transfer the serial number from the original block over to a brand new EVO engine. At this stage the 5 speed transmission was gone through, the S&S carbs were reinstalled and the small recommended street cam (ANDR EV3) was added. That motor now has less than 11,259 miles on it. The motor swap and restoration was done by a certified Harley dealer which has done nearly all the maintenance on this bike over the years and is well documented.
While the motor was being done the tins were sent out for paint and graphics. The color is multi layers of blue over a black base and some purple is in there which typically shows up in the sunlight. The graphics are flame work and Chinese Kung Fu dragons on the tank and flame work on the front and rear fender. A custom designed HD hologram is on the rear fender under the luggage rack. Artwork was done by reknowned graphics expert Scott MacKay, owner of ThinAir Grafx. When Scott is not creating graphic masterpieces he tours the country doing artwork, teaching seminars and running custom artwork contests and the big bike rallies. His signature is under the King and Queen Mustang seat which was reworked with blue stitching to tie it into the basic color theme of the bike. The seat and the apes and the forward controls combine for an incredibly comfortable posture.
There is an obscene amount of chrome on it and the metallic pops off the tank. To announce this bike’s arrival there are timeless design Python slashcut chrome pipes that deliver an impressive growl with just enough volume to make you hard to overlook.
On the luggage rack is a removable HD flag pole and USA flag with nonvibration mount. On the left side of the motor is a chrome covered compressor that powers 2 airhorns professed to be the loudest production motorcycle horns made.
In the same custom spirit 7 hidden LED light pods have been installed in key places on the motor and on the frame to add a dramatic glow. They are wired to an on/off or fade switch which can be accessed when riding or parked. Other custom features are passenger floorboards, and tear shaped mirrors, a locking chrome tool box. The leather bags are stamped 1996 and seem to have just the right patina and are matched by the tank bib and front fender bib. The rear tire is wider than stock (HD MT90B16 Dunlop 402) but fits comfortably as the same size has been used twice concurrently. The solid rear wheel is still a bright alloy.
This bike has been meticulously maintained…oil changed every 1000-1500 miles and every 2 oil changes the primary fluids were changed. The carbs were just rebuilt. A brand new (not rebuilt) HD starter was installed as well as a brand new battery (2024). Painstaking care has been taken to keep this Harley dry and leak free. This bike has just returned from the dealer that has done 90% of the work to it. Every switch, button and bulb works as it is supposed to. And there are NO leaks. The odometer reads 45,667 which means that less than 850 well maintained miles a year have gone on it in the last 11years but, remember, the motor has just over 11k miles. The current owner has other bikes but always kept this bike because of sentimental value, it being his first Harley. But for that reason it is not getting ridden as much as it should. It’s a great, smooth ride and it turns heads wherever it goes. $8700 or BO. Or trade up/down for vintage Mopar or vintage convertible of any American make. No projects, please.
