Fresh Mopar Restoration
What does a show quality restoration cost these days? Here is a 1970 Dodge Super Bee which was just completed in July 2025. Over $100,000 was invested in this redo. It features Hemi Orange paint and the N96 Air Grabber hood.
The 1970 Dodge Super Bee is being offered with just 150 miles on it since the restoration. Motorcar Classics out of Farmingdale, New York has it for sale. They tell us the restoration is impressive. The EV2 Hemi Orange paint is noted on the fender tag and the cost to reproduce the original paint job was $35,000. It has a brand new vinyl top. The interior is all original, but the headliner, carpet and seat covers are all new. Seats even have new foam. They say all the gauges work.
Now, under the hood … this is a work of art. Engine specs include: 10 to 11 compression ratio, hypereutectic pistons with moly rings, 40 overbore comp cams, Thumpr camshaft hydraulic flat tappet, advertised duration 486 / 473 duration @ 050 lift 227 int / 241 exhaust 107 lobe separation. Bosch platinum spark plugs, Taylor spiro pro 8mm silicone plug wires. Hi po exhaust manifolds have been sandblasted and repainted using POR 15 gray manifold paint. Percy’s soft aluminum reusable manifold gaskets installed. This Superbee also has a brand new fully rebuilt tranny by a 40 year hardcore mopar specialist from long island, NY. Tranny has an 1800 factory stall converter, a 10-inch hemi torque converter and a 30-mile kickdown option installed.
In addition to the engine and transmission, they installed a new trunk pan, new gas tank, new alternator, power steering pump, pulleys and belts, new high flow fuel pump and oil pump. 3.23 rear end gear with a 409 rear casing. High def headlights with all new wire harnesses.
Most restorations are not as extensive as this one. It is interesting to see how “into it” these Mopar experts were to produce a product that will stand the test of time.

This Weeks Featured Stories
2005 Ford GT
An exceptional Mark IV Red 2005 Ford GT was just listed for sale by Legendary Motorcar Company, the premier exotic car dealer in North America. The Ford GT was Ford’s attempt to celebrate its greatest achievement, winning the 24 Hours of Lemans three years in a row with Carroll Shelby as “crew chief.” The Ford GT is a tribute to those legendary GT40 race cars that won at Lemans. This one is special in that it is a one-owner and came with four options. So well preserved that it has only 2,846 miles on it, it has the all-aluminum 5.4L Supercharged V8 engine and comes with Brembo calipers, BBS lightweight forged wheels and a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission. The history is known, and it comes with a window sticker, owner’s manuals, service manual, car cover and more.
American Classic
You won’t see one of these very often unless you visit a museum. This week a private party seller from Ohio listed a 1921 Marmon Seven-Passenger Touring car for sale. They say this vintage classic is mostly original, but the seats and top were refurbished a few years ago. They say the car runs, but now it is up to the wife to sell the car since the husband now longer can care for it. The couple would love it if the car would go to a good home and a family that could appreciate it. There is an extra motor and transmission that could go with the sale. A new buyer should have it inspected and appraised before purchasing this wonderful investment. The original condition must be considered in the price. What an exceptional find!

1967 Corvette 427 Coupe
With a white stinger on Marina Blue paint and “427” badging, this 1967 Corvette Coupe will attract a lot of attention. You can see the quality of the paint in this video (click video window above.) The 1967 Corvette 427 Coupe is being offered for sale at Cruisin Classics, a select collector car shop in Columbus, Ohio. They specialize in quality collector cars. This one will prove the point. They note a couple of dings in the video, so watch the whole presentation. They say it will smoke the tires if you are in the mood.

Collector Cars with Low Miles
1967 Corvette w/low miles
Another great Corvette was listed by a private seller with very low miles. This 1967 Corvette Roadster comes with two tops. The seller confirmed that it has only 34,752 original miles. As the story goes, it was sold originally at an Ohio Chevrolet dealership. He says he has the names of all the previous owners. The paint is original and he says it is still “very nice” with no checking. The same with the chrome. Only belts, hoses, air filter, plugs, plug wires and battery have been changed out under the hood. He has the original keys, Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manual and tank sticker. Corvette afficionadoes will be impressed.
Here are more recent Low Miles additions:
1979 Corvette, Classic Auto Mall, PA, 37,738 actual miles
1992 Pontiac Firebird Formula from Lincoln, NE, only 37,350 actual miles
You’ll find these and hundreds more in our Low Miles Section online now.
Project Vehicles for Restoration
1964 Fiat 500 Jolly
If they ever do a redo of the TV show Fastasy Island, Tattoo should drive one of these. This is a 1964 Fiat 500 Jolly, a virtual “golf cart” of a car. It is a Giardiniera Jolly Long Wheel Base version, typically used as a beach buggy. This one is in “easily restorable” condition, according to Gullwing Motor Cars of New York. They say it is mechanically sorted and highly original. A light restoration, mostly cosmetics, would do the trick, they say. It is one of the rarest coachbuilt versions of the Fiat 500. It was previously restored and benefits from a complete braking system overhaul.
The following are just some of the cars available in the Project Car Section this week:
1937 Cadillac Fleetwood, Haggle Me
1936 Rolls-Royce Sedanca de Ville, Beverly Hills Car Club, CA

1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible
If you can’t afford the real thing, why not buy a replica? This 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible in Plum Crazy Purple would cost a few $million if you tried to buy a numbers matching original. But here is a Hemi 426 tribute car that will give you virtually the same ride for a small fraction of the price. The private party seller from North Carolina tells us it is the result of a full rotisserie restoration. He was asking $175,000 for the iconic Mopar. But just this week he dropped the price to $175,000.
Here are more vehicles with price cuts this week:

1970 Pontiac GTO Judge
A couple of fresh GTO Judge tribute cars were listed this week. This 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Tribute, featured in Polar white with Judge stripes is said to be a real 242 VIN GTO. It is being offered for sale by Haggle Me, a collector car broker that helps us Baby boomers handle the internet. They say the GTO has been tastefully restored with authentic performance. It has a strong 400 V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. You don’t see them in white finish very often. Looks good.

Deals of the Day
1973 Mustang Convertible
The “big horse” Mustangs are coming into vogue with Gen-Xers and Millenial buyers. Here is a 1973 Mustang Convertible powered by a 351 V8 and automatic transmission. It is blue with a blue interior and white soft top. The California car features 14-inch steel wheels, Mustang branded hubcaps, bucket seats and an AM/FM radio (sign of the times.) It is being offered for sale at Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles. If you want to capture the spirit of the open road and nostalgia of cruising in a classic Mustang, this one won’t break your bank book. If will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. They are asking $19,750.
1955 Ford Thunderbird
Our readers know what we always say about first generation T-Birds. “If you find one for under $30,000 … buy it.” (That comes with the proviso that it is in high Number 3 condition or better, of course. Condiditon means everything.) So this week a private party seller from Ontario, Canada listed his 1955 Ford Thunderbird for sale at a particularly interesting price. He says it is beautiful and he is sad to sell it. He says it is immaculate inside and out. Look at the photos. He says it “runs as good as it looks.” He believes you can just buy it and enjoy it. As always, you should have it inspected before you buy. And, yes, it does have overdrive. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. His asking price is $28,000.
1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A
Did you know that aluminum tops were available as after market add-ons for civilian versions of the CJ2A Willys Jeep? It was common for military versions of the Willys Jeep to have aluminum tops. But for the civilian buyers you could order them out of a Sears, Roebuck catalog. They are rare to find today. So this week a private party seller from Colorado posted his ad to sell a 1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A with a 12V conversion and an aluminum top. How interesting is that? He says it also has the bikini top for summer, a roll bar and winch mounted on the front. Turn signals have been installed aftermarket. He says the engine and transmission are original. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday next week on the front page of the Cars-On-Line website. His asking price is $13,499.
1951 Studebaker Champion
The classic Studebaker Champion design was so “over the top unusual” that it was a cause of constant conversation back in the day. You either loved them or hated them. They were admired for being sleek, low slung and innovative. But the bullet nose look was often criticized. That makes it a great collector car today. This week Unique Classic Cars in Mankato, Minnesota listed a 1951 Studebaker Champion for sale at a very interesting price point. The 4-door sedan has as smooth running six cylinder engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission with column shift. The herringbone cloth upholstery is well kept, they say. You can watch an inspection video at this link. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Tuesday next week. Their asking price is $12,900.
1987 Corvette Survivor
The Missouri private party seller says this might be “the micest L98 Corvette C4 survivor available anywhere.” He just posted his 1987 Corvette Coupe for sale this week. He says it is in “mint condition” with only 25,800 original miles. That is amazing! “everything works, completely unmodified & near showroom condition. Drives as new & without issue. This is the one true C4 fans will want to own/drive/show off.” It is nicely optioned in red with red leather interior, and has power sports seats, a tinted glass top and Bose stereo system. And it has all the important options of the day. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Wednesday next week. The asking price is $14,950.
Ruby Edition Corvette
The Ruby Edition Corvette, which was a one-year only design to honor the Corvette’s 40th Anniversary, is very collectible among Corvette owners. When they first came out they were so cherished that many remain with low miles today. A Missouri collector just listed his 1993 Corvette 40th Anniversary Convertible for sale this week. It is one of only 2,043 Ruby Edition convertibles produced. The seller says it still has ice cold air conditioning and the odometer shows just 67k miles. He says everything works, and it has received new brakes and shocks. He considers the paint “beautiful.” He says you can drive it anywhere right now. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. The asking price is only $15,950. Wow!
1990 Mazda Miata
A popular concept being espoused on the internet these days is that Gen-Xers and Millenials are collecting cars now. But the cars they are interested in are not the ones their parents collected. They are choosing 1980’s and 1990’s cars that are in their bailywick. A good example is this 1990 Mazda Miata Mx-5 Convertible. With only 40,000 on the clock it is a very desirable find. It has air conditioning, CD player and comes with Limited Slip differential. The color is Classic Red with a black interior and black convertible top. Click this link to review a walk-around video. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $17,748. Now that’s the way to get into collecting.
Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Remember, you saw them here first:
