Mustang K-Code
Talk about a classic Mustang that checks all the boxes. This 1965 Mustang GT K-Code Convertible is the right car, in the right color, with the right equipment group. The original Vintage Burgundy exterior sets the mood, while the K-Code engine puts it in the Shelby realm of historic significance.
This beautifully photographed 1965 Mustang GT K-Code Convertible was just listed by the GAA Classic Car Auction. It will cross the auction block in Greensboro, North Carolina next month, July 25-27, 2024. They are promoting it on the Cars-On-Line.com website this week. This classic Mustang is the real deal. It comes with its numbers matching K-Code block with factory VIN stamping.
The rotisserie restoration was done by Performance Motors in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Look through the photos at the link above to review detailed pictures of the car.
And this K-Code Mustang checks all the boxes. It comes with a Pony interior with center console and Rally Pack gauges. It has the GT Equipment Group. The toploader 4-speed is factory stamped (what a find!) And they say it has the original Car-Lite glass throughout.
This is the one. With that Vintage Burgundy clear coat paint and the way it is equipped … it just doesn’t get any better than this. Rare Ferrari Confirmed
The Salon Prive Concours, the grand British car show at Blenheim Palace Oxfordshire, England, has announced that a storied 1957 Ferrari 335 S has been entered into the show by an American collector. Chassis Number 0674 had a rich racing history driven by Juan Manuel Fangio, Phil Hill and Wolfgana Von Trips. The current owner, an American collector, acquired the car at the 2005 Artcurial Retromobil Auction, for nearly £25 million. Described as a Ferrari with a most significant race history, this iconic model has since been showcased at many blue ribbon events, including Finali Mondiali Daytona and the Ferrari Classiche Concours. Recently, Michael Mann used this 0674 racer as the focus of his new movie Ferrari based on the 1957 race season. 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II
This is one of the most replicated muscle cars in existence. Only this one is the real deal. It is a 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II 426 Hemi car. Or more importantly, the first year of the “street Hemi.” It is one of only 280 Hemi 4-speed cars produced. And it is being offered for sale this week through WeBe Autos, a classic car broker from New York. Click the link to read the ad copy. They do a VIN decode to show the authenticity. They say it was rotisserie restored and remains as the original car. It has a 4:30 Dana rear end and Sure Grip differential. This car was featured in Muscle Machines magazine in December 2012. It is also in the Chrysler Registry. It won Best of Show at Carlisle in 2008. They say it has only 52,000 documented miles. Click here to watch a walk-around video.
1950 Jaguar XK120
When the early Jaguar XK120 Roadsters first came out in 1949 they were a game changer for the small specialty car manufacturer in Coventry. Their design epitomized the essense of a two-seater sports car, a gentleman’s sports car, if you will. This week Midwest Car Exchange in Alsip, Illinois has a great example of a 1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster for sale. They say it has a smooth starting and running 3.4 liter inline six cylinder engine with the VIN visible. It is one of 1,025 left-hand drive vehicles produced that year. They say the complete frame-off resoration was completed in 2002. According to the description, the seats were nicely upholstered in soft red leather and the door panels were lightly upholstered with car stock. The XK120 has its Smiths gauges and a 140-mph speedomoter with a 6,000 rpm tach.
Auctions
We are fast approaching the summer edition of the GAA Classic Auction to be held July 25-27, 2024 in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is one of those summer time events that you put on your calendar. It’s that important. Collectors from all around the country will be watching the event online or in person. Already the lineup of cars is building. We were especially impressed with their selection of muscle cars this year. There are plenty of Chevelles and Camaros. Here is a sampling of cars that will be sold at No Reserve.
Mustang 428 Fastback
A black big block 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback will cross the auction block on Friday July 26 at the Palace, the auction facility in Greensboro, NC where the GAA Classic Auctions are held. This Mustang Pony car has a big block 428 CJ shoehorned into its engine comparment. It will be offered at No Reserve. This high performance Mustang comes with Detroit locker rear end with 31-spline axle, 7.50 carburetor, C6 automatic transmission and Comp Cam. It has C&ME heads and posi traction. Here is a Fastback Mustang done the way it should be. What do you think it will sell for? High bidder takes it with No Reserve.
1961 Ford Sunliner
There will also be some classic cars of the 1950’s and 1960’s offered at this year’s GAA Classic Auction. A real clean 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner will cross the auction block on Friday. A very desirable convertible Sunliner is rare to find in this type of condition. And it will be offered at No Reserve. Check the photos at the link. It is seen here in factory code W Garden Green Turquoise exterior. The new base/clear paint will entice you. It comes with dual exhaust, power top and a new green/beige 2-tone interior. Under the hood this Sunliner has a 4-barrel carburetor. See the list below for more classic convertibles to be offered at the GAA Classic summer auction.
2013 Wrangler Sahara
As always, you can expect a good selection of trucks and off-road vehicles at the summer edition of the GAA Classic Auction in Greensboro. This 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is a good example. They call this the Geico Green Edition, standing out in its special green exterior. And it comes with a Mickey Thompson wheel package as well. And it has a lift kit. But this Sahara Edition is loaded inside with a leather interior and Navigation. Amazingly, it will be offered at No Reserve. If you have been looking for a Wrangler to go off-roadin’ or just to show off in the neighborhood, this is one you want to bid on. It will be sold at No Reserve on Thursday, July 25.

1981 Ferrari 308 GTSI
Gullwing Motor Cars in New York is known for specializing in imported sports cars. So it is no surprise that they have just posted a 1981 Ferrari 308 GTSI with very low miles. They say this one is showing only 12k miles on the odometer. It is an attractive driver offered with factory books, tools, jack, and spare. Accompanied by a clean Carfax report, they call it a “very presentable original car.” With the fuel-injected V8 engine, they say it runs and drives smoothly and sports a 5-speed manual transmission. These 308’s are about to get hot. Get yours now.

1948 Buick Roadmaster
A Florida collector tells us his health is keeping him from finishing the restoration on his 1948 Buick Roadmaster. He is selling it with “lots of new parts.” The classic Buick has its all original Straight 8 engine, and still has a 6-volt system. He says it ran when it was parked. Now it needs a gas tank and trunk floor. Call him and find out more. This might be a diamond in the rough.

1934 Chevy 5-Window
A Michigan hot rodder has to sell his all steel 1934 Chevorlet 5-Window Coupe. He is a serious seller. His rare Chevy really looks good in the photos. It has an overdrive transmission, power steering, power brakes, Vintage air and heat, new Teas seats, new 650 Edelbrock carb and new intake manifold. You can see from the photos that the paint is excellent. He was asking $55,000, not a bad price to begin with. But just recently he is getting real serious and has dropped the price to $38,000. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about.

1969 Camaro ZL1
Among the many muscle cars in the GAA Classic Auction inventory just posted, we spotted this 1969 Camaro ZL1 tribute. It is the product of a complete nut and bolt restoration with only 10 miles on the car since the redo. Just look at the undercarriage photos at the link. So perfect. The ad copy says it has an actual ’69 ZL1 engine. What a find! Click here to find out how to bid.

1956 Pontiac Chieftain
Classic Pontiacs are always popular on the Cars-On-Line website. So it was great to see this 1956 Pontiac Chieftain 4-Door posted for sale this week. It is being sold through Country Classic Cars in Staunton, Illinois. Finished in a 2-tone blue and white exterior with a matching interior, it is powered by a V8 engine with automatic transmissin and dual exhaust. They tell us it drives very well. It has been in the Mulholland Collection in California for many years. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. Their asking price is $20,500.
1974 MGB Convertible
A 1974 MGB Convertible is seen here in Dark Red paint with black soft top. It is being offered for sale by Unique Classic Cars, a Minnesota classic car wholesaler, for a price that would be considered a discount to the average vale. They say it is a one-owner car since new, and currently has 92k actual miles. It comes with black vinyl bucket seats and center console. The luggage rack on the rear is a nice addition. 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT
We see a lot of Pontiac Fieros on the market these days. But this one really looks good in the photos. Here is a 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT being offered for sale by Midwest Car Exchange in Alsip, Illinois. They say it comes from a meticulous owner who only put 12k original miles on it. They say it is accident free according to the Carfax. It also comes documented with an original window sticker, owners manuals and new car booklet. 2010 Chevrolet Silverado
Okay, here it is! Grab the phone or you won’t get in on this in time. Here is a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Monster Truck being offered for sale by Coyote Classics in Iowa. This is a lotta’ truck for the money. With tons of recent upgrades, this off-road truck features 7.5″ Rough Country Lift kit, powder coated with 35X12″ tires. The Vortec 5300 “FlexFuel” 5.3L V8 fuel-injected engine is just the beginning. It also has a fully upgraded sound system, touchscreen Bluetooth radio, good sound. 1975 Lincoln Mark IV
Luxury in Aqua Blue … that’s a good way to describe thhis 1975 Lincoln Continental Mark IV luxury car which is being offered for sale by Streetside Classics in Tampa, Florida this week. The long, sleek Continental features faux wood accents, bucket seats with 6-way power, tilt steering column and the big 460 ci V8 engine. They say it delivers a smooth, effortless ride as any big luxury car should. There is a lot of ’70s styling, i.e. 8-track player and shag carpets. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. Their asking price is $12,995.
2005 BMW 645CI
A Black Sapphire metallic 2005 BMW 645CI Convertible is being offered for sale at a big discount to its average value. Sovereign Auto Group, a big wholesaler in Michigan, has listed this high-end BMW soft top with a 4.4 liter 325 horsepower V8 and 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. They say this car is simply stunning. It comes with premium leather, Premium Logic 7 audio package, cold weather package with heated power seats, mirrors and steering wheel, adaptive headlamps and more. They say it drives as well as it looks. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. Their asking price is $14,000.
