Fomoco Dream
Fun facts! Sometimes unusual things happened at the Ford factory that they did not want the general public to know about. The 1951 Ford F-3 Truck which you see here was sent by Ford to Grant Body and Equipment Company in 1951. Their commission was to make it a “three-door” truck. This unique one-of-a-kind vehicle was later acquired by a street rodder who had a vision of making it the ultimate salt flats race car hauler.
This incredible custom is being offered for sale this week at Heatons Hot Rods in Joliet, Illinois. They tell us the truck is completely custom from front to back and top to bottom. The cab roof has been chopped. There are also several body mods including custom door handles and drip rails, and it has a custom Ram Air intake made with an electric actuator that lifts the cowl vent to force air into a custom-made air cleaner. The bed of the truck is a complete custom masterpiece with countless fabrications. The inside of the bed was designed to carry a 1969 Triumph TT special race motorcycle. The body was channeled over the custom frame with a Roadster Shop independent front suspension with power rack and pinion steering and a Roadster Shop rear 4-link set up with 9 inch rear axle assembly and coil overs on the front and Air Ride in the rear.
This custom F-3 Ford truck has a built Pro-Formance 420 horsepower 351W with forged flat top pistons, 1/2 inch lift in the cam, polished crank, Eagle I-beam connecting rods and Dart aluminum heads.
You can read the full description and history by tapping this link. You’ll see dozens of detailed photos. Heaton Hot Rods is offering a package deal to include the 1969 Triumph TT racer bike and a 1929 Custom Roadster which will be carried behind the ’51 Ford in a special salf flats type trailer rig. This is a display that just keeps making its own history as it goes.

Sold Thru Cars On Line
Here are some of the comments from happy sellers who were nice enough to tell us about their experience advertising on the Cars On Line website.
Someone found a hidden gem in our Ford Section this week. A 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA S Code 390 big block car had been listed for sale there for a while now. The Virginia owner just told us this week that it was SOLD. “Thanks,” he said.
Likewise, a couple from Northlake, Illinois was able to sell their 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix this week. It had been advertised for a long time. But now they said it SOLD thru COL. Is this an sign that the market is improving?
And a Dallas collector told us that he SOLD his 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA this week through his Cars-On-Line ad. This S code car was really built nice with a fresh 496, Stage 3 heads, Victor intake, Comp cams and more. 715 horsepower. They found it in the Ford Muscle Car section online.
