Dodge Challenger Convertible. Very rare (1 of 1) and unique 1971 Dodge Challenger 340 4bbl. Convertible that still retains its two (2) original fender data tags and its original build sheet that was recovered 20 years ago when the vehicle was undergoing restoration. The fender tags & build sheet decoded by Galen Govier (see pictures & info below) and this Challenger is in the Govier Registry. This late build date (06/71) was one of the last convertible Challengers built for the model year. When built, it was ordered with the "HI IMPACT" exterior color Hemi Orange (EV-2), the small block V8 performance motor (340-4bbl.) and loaded with options (performance & comfort). Changes (exterior color to Top Banana Yellow, interior & top changed) were made during restoration, but it remains as factory equipped. Amazing condition for being a "driven" show car with 20 year old paint that shines like new. OPTIONS (fender tags): 340 1- 4bbl., 275 hp V8 (NOM) w/ dual exhaust, A727 Torqueflite Automatic, Convertible, built at Hamtramck, MI., Hi Impact Body Paint, high trim grade, white interior, white bucket seats, light package, Rallye Instruments, power brakes, center console, factory tinted glass, LH / RH outside painted racing mirrors, Air Conditioning, variable speed wipers, hood pins, sport hood, body sill moldings, chrome luggage rack, dual exhaust w/ chrome tips, tachometer, power windows, power top, Multiplex am/fm stereo radio w/three speaker dash, white longitudinal sport tape (side stripes) & 26" Radiator. Build Sheet Highlights: Quick Ratio T/A Power Steering, HD Suspension, Front Power Disc Brakes, 15x7 Rallye Road Wheels w/ E60x15 tires, Collapsible Spare, 3.23 ratio w/ 8.75 rear, Wheel Lip Moldings, Carter Thermo-Quad TQ 4bbl. # 4973S Carburetor, Body Undercoating w/Hood Insulation Pad, All Tinted Door Glass, 3-Spoke Woodgrain Steering Wheel w/black horn pad, etc.. Everything works (clock sometimes) on this rust free car and it runs great. Drive anywhere. I have all documentation from restoration & a lot more photographs if interested. For a more detailed description on the restoration & history of this very rare car, please go to this web link. Once there, you can navigate the posting on the left side where it says options, exterior, etc..
