Goggomobil TS-250. This car is not only cute, but even the name is fun to say! The Goggomobil is a product of Germany and was produced from 1955 till 1969 after being purchased by BMW. The TS 250 featured 4-wheel independent suspension; a rear mounted 2 cylinder -- 2 stroke -- 247 cc engine and a manual transmission that would bring it to a top speed of 50 mph. Don't let the 10" wheels or small stature fool you, this sports coupe actually holds up to four people comfortably! The bodylines are sleek and sexy while the interior is dressed up with a touch of elegance featuring a real wood dash.
This particular car is part of a private multi-million dollar collection and is being offered for sale for the first time. It has been stored in a climate controlled personal museum for the viewing pleasure of the owner and his guests. It received a full ground up restoration. The tu-tone paint is show quality and reflects like a mirror. Most of the chrome has been refinished and the interior has been detailed with new upholstery, a fresh coat of paint on the dash and refurbished wood. The engine bay has been taken apart and highly detailed. The mechanics of the car appear to have been rebuilt; it turns over and starts with ease. Moicrocars have been gaining popularity in the world of collector car investing and have proven to be a solid investment. Expect to see the prices of these cars to double over the next couple years. Price - $ 18,700 |
