Chevy Nova II SS. Originally built in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and shipped to a dealer in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on June 5, 1967 with the following options: 327ci 275hp turbo fire (L-30) engine with a Muncie M20 4sp transmission and a 12 bolt posi-traction HD rear axle with 3.55-1 gear ratio. Stainless steel dual exhaust, factory recall torque limiting cables, power front disc brakes (1 of 565), power steering, air conditioning (with HD radiator, battery and fan clutch), speed warning indicator (buzzer), factory above dash tachometer, remote side view mirror, push button AM radio with rear seat speaker and rear mount antenna, factory rally wheels on 215/70 x 14 tires. The exterior color is Mountain Green base coat/clear coat and the interior is black with the SS trim. More options include remote trunk release, wood grain sport steering wheel, tissue dispenser, locking bowtie gas cap, complete tinted glass (all original), rear window defogger, electric clock, 61 amp alternator, day/night rear view mirror and chrome door edge guard. The under carriage is completely restored with undercoating. The odometer presently reads 70236 original miles with less than 400 miles since the completed restoration in 1992. There are a few subtle differences between Canadian and American built Chevy 11 making this Canadian built car unique in its own right.
This 1967 Chevy 11 SS was restored with a 1967 327ci 275hp (L-30) from a 1967 Impala with all the proper specifications. I do have the original unrestored numbers matching engine for this car with all parts complete. At the time that I purchased this car the protect o plate had been lost. I do believe that even without the protect o plate that this car is factory original because of the word from the previous owner and from the inspection that I have done myself. The previous owner had this car on the cover of the February 1999 issue of Nova Times with a full layout and story inside. This car was also featured in Super Chevy "Nova" in fall 2003 as Northern Nova along with sibling Southern Nova.
