Chevy Impala . Black exterior, red, black, and silver interior. Originally a VA car with title, and retitled in CT.
The body was taken off the frame in the late 1980's. When I purchased it, the car had a big block 427, after running the car for a few years, I purchased crate engine from Jeg's. The car now has a 454 with 425 horsepower. Transmission is a 400tg. Electric fan, with regular fan keeps engine running cool. Engine has never overheated, and very seldom needed electric fan turned on. Also has transmission cooler. Exhaust is Hooker Headers with 2 �" back with Flow Masters. The interior as you can see is different. Has 1967 Chevy bucket seats, with console. Front brakes are disc, for better stopping power, rear are drum. Car runs and handles great.
Tires, rims are 15 inch for better handling, with a smoother ride.
I bought this vehicle at a car show in PA and I've put approximately 5000 miles on the car. Speedometer reads 9,500 miles, probably total of 109,500.
I did add tach to dash, and a new radio in 2003. This car is turn-key and very dependable. This past Fall I replaced the gas tank, and sending unit because gas cap was not properly vented.
I have just turned 65 and I must sell my favorite car because I am retiring soon. It pains me to sell this vehicle because it has been always been my favorite. I've owned three '58's and this one is truly awesome! Don't let it pass you by!
