Chevy Impala Convertible. One of a kind custom 1958 Impala convertible low rider shaved resto-mod roaster! The car is a virgin to car shows and sure to win some trophies! Very nice cruiser comes equipped with a 1965 corvette 300 hp 327 & TH350 transmission. This car is 100% custom with many changes and additions! With the shorty headers, high rise edlebrock performer intake, high performance electronic ignition, and mild cam the actual horsepower is unknown. The body work and paint was done a few years back at a price of near $14,000 but has been in storage ever since and just now color sanded and buffed! The drivetrain and finishing touches have just been completed. There are a few small chips here and there from being stored but have touched these up. Not flawless paint but very nice. Car is a beautiful metalflake sapphire blue with a nice gloss to it. The car has been competely rewired, a hidden under dash switch kills all battery power to the vehicle, the fuel cell and the battery are located in the trunk which is power operated! It is equipped with sunpro temperature, oil pressure, voltage gauge, and a tachometer. The original radio is in the dash however a pioneer am/fm cd player is in the glove box. Custom fit frenched in jaguar halogen headlights, modern impala emblems, 3-piece bumpers welded and filled, all exterior molding shaved, and fully undercoated are just a few of the custom touches done on this cruiser. The engine chrome includes the valve covers, air cleaner, fan and pulleys, power brake booster, master cylinder, fuel pump and alternator & brackets. It is a power steering car but yet to acquire the proper brackets and mount the pump however it is included with the car. The new windshield is blue tinted in the upper portion. There is an electric fan attached for added protection of the cooling system. 15" rims with goodyear tires and full disc hubcaps compliment the clean slick European look to the car. To those inquiring about bringing this car back to originality: i obtained the car pretty much in it's present condition and did not do the transformation therefore do not have the side mouldings, side glass, or top mechanism. I did research to a degree what it would cost to get the top back on and door glass in and came up to a figure of approxiamately $7000. I do have a phone number for a guy with a top frame for $2000. Some window trim will take some time in locating but much of it is readily available as new or old. I have too many other projects to take the time to do this and obtained the car in a trade in effort to reduce my collection as space is limited!
This is a real 58 x-frame convertible car! Not a cut off top!!!!
