1964 Chevelle Malibu SS|
Chevelle Malibu SS. Here is a very good example of a mostly restored all original Chevy Malibu SS. This has been in California since new (original California black plates have been restored) and has zero rust. Has the original 283 2-bbl engine and automatic Powerglide transmission. The engine has been rebuilt sometime in the past but I am not sure when but it runs strong as does the transmission. Has bucket seats with the floor shifter. Many things have been done to the car so I will list them:
New engine items include: Radiator, hoses, electronic Pertronix ignition, alternator, all engine wiring(engine harness and forward lamp harness), rebuilt carburator with electronic choke, plugs, plug wires, rotor distributor cap, sending units, all relays, battery with tray, starter plus solenoid, power disc brakes for safety. Engine bay also sanded down and repainted.
Under the car also was sanded down, primered and repainted with chassis paint. New shocks all the way around and new tires with about 5 miles on them. The trunk was sanded down to the bare metal, primered and repainted with the correct spatter paint. New spare tire and rim will also be included. The rear wiring harness was also replaced with a new one. The car was repainted several years ago close to the original color. Looks great five feet away but it is not show quality but good driver with some chips and nicks.
All the gauges work including the original clock ticking away. All the lights as well as the horn works. The original radio only produces static so would need to be serviced but a new correct 10-ohm speaker also has been installed. New sound deadener was placed down before new carpet was installed. New seat foam and seat coverings were also installed as well as rear seat divider and package tray. All receipts will be included with the sale as well as any literature and documents I have.
The engine block stamp reads: F0626JD. The data plate tag shows 7B, 4-1, Style 64-5837, Body BF 6600, Trim 741, Paint FFA, ACC B70 23961.
This is a great car with much work done to it. The high bidder will enjoy it.
