This car is a non-running project car. It has been stored since the mid 1970's, and shows 33,505 miles on the odometer. It is a former 1/4 mile drag car. It has Hooker SuperComp headers, a front lift kit with drag shocks, rear air bags and rear lift kit. It was taken off the track and parked. The body and chassis are in very good condition. The rear wheel openings, and front seat floor pans and toe boards will need sheet metal repair. It is missing some chrome trim. Both bumpers will need rechroming. The car was painted Candy Apple red when raced, and is now in primer.
A new windshield has been professionally installed, the rest of the glass is in good condition. It will need lower door window channels. The original interior remains intact, however, time has taken its toll. The interior will need new seat covers, carpet, and door panels. The headliner is perfect, and the original starting instructions are stll on the drivers sunvisor.
The only major component missing from the original drivetrain is the shortblock. The factory original tri-power with carbs/tags, heads/valve covers, generator, starter, bellhousing, T10 aluminum tail 4 speed, and 3.64 posi rear-end are intact and in great condition. The original radiator will need recoring, however, I also have a second radiator with the project. I have located a correct 1962 11b coded block, which is a 4 bolt #538181 block. Have Clear MN Title in my name. Standard bore 11b 4 bolt main block, and .030 forged speedpro pistons, and reconditioned rods with ARP bolts. More pictures available.
