Pontiac Trans Am . Here's an unrestored and very original 1977 Pontiac Trans Am survivor that truly captures the emotion that muscle car enthusiasts felt when it was introduced. This particular vehicle is the collectors collectable, and the cowl numbers are proof of this:
Black exterior, with gold German block lettering; Original tan interior, the desirable Hearst hatches. I've been a mechanic for over 40 years; aside from normal maintenance over the years: LOF + Air filter changes; new radiator, hoses etc., the vehicle remains the same as first introduced. All work done by myself.
When it was bought by me (2nd owner), it was 5 years old, with 44K miles, it was then driven by my wife 4 miles on week days for 20 years, to and from gym. It has since been used later as a backup vehicle when need.
Always garaged - the Pontiac engine is a 6.6 (400 cube); only engine modification was headers installed by original owner, original exhaust manifolds included along with a trunk filled with extra maintenance parts. Car is mechanically sound. Body of vehicle was Ziebart protected by the dealer, which saved it from the usual rust and rot. Finally, the vehicle has the original 8-track player.
Price - $ 18,000 |
