1970 Olds 442 Convertible |
Olds 442 Convertible . REAL. This car is not a clone/tribute. This is one of 2933 convertibles built. It has a clear TX. title.
This car has had less than 100 miles since a complete frame-off restoration. It is equipped with a 455, Turbo 400 transmission, and a 12 bolt rearend with 342 gears. The motor was completely rebuilt with .030 over pistons,10/10 on the crank. Hardened seats were also installed, as was a slightly more aggressive cam. The A/C was converted to R134 for ease of maintenence. The transmission was also completely rebuilt with a mild shift kit added. The body was removed from the frame, and both were media blasted to bare steel. The frame was also clear coated after reassembly, to prevent deterioration. The body was shot in base-clear acrylic urethane, then cut and rubbed. New Super Stock wheels adn tires were installed. Both bumpers were rechromed. The interior was redone using new seat covers, door panels, and carpet. A new convertible top with glass rear window was also installed. Price - $ 36,500 OBO |
