Chevy Bel Air 2Dr Ht. Beginning in 1980, the Detroit Oldies radio station WHND did live broadcasts from "Sunshine" while cruising down the road, playing 50's and 60's music. We cruised Woodward, Telegraph and neighboring communities. The station even did a remote from "Sunshine" while inside the Henry Ford Museum. The car has been in numerous auto shows, T.V. commericals, newspapers and even appeared on the side of a milk carton for Borden Dairy in 1988. In 1989 it was the feature car in the St. Ignace Car Show. The car has appeared in Classic Chevy Magazine in Orlando Florida. On August 10,2007 Sunshine was written up in the Detroit News as Golden Honors for the 1957 Chevy 50-years celebration. On Dec. 30th, 2007 the car appeared on the front page of the Detroit News as the icon of the era. The picture included Rich Wagner, CEO of General Motors and Billy Duron, founder of G.M., with the General Motors world headquarters in the background. This out standing car runs and drives great. I've owned this car for 35 years and is kept in a heated garage. It is painted with 1977 Corvette yellow with tangerine flames and trim. The interior is new 57 Belair Silver and Black, done by Cars Inc. The body has never had any rust, orginals panels and the floors are perfect. Windows tinted glass, chrome is double plated show chrome. Wheels are E.T. Diamond Spoke with stock 57 spinners and Goodyear tires. The engine is a 400 cu. in. and a 400 trans, Griffin cross flow radiator and dual electric fans. Vintage Air and Heat, ps, pdb,am-fm stereo with cd player under the seat.
