Chevelle SS Convertible. Very rare, 402 4-speed convertible Chevelle, 1 of 17. For two years I have tried to get to this car and I still have 2 mopars in front of it, so I will sell the car. This car has set garaged by the previous owner since 1980 and I have owned the car for 2 years. This is a 1972 402, 4-speed, cowl Induction, convertible, SS Chevelle. It is also a bucket seat console car. After investigating, I have found that in 1972 the number of 402 convertibles built was 93, about 70 had SS packages. Out of those 70, about 17 had 4-speeds. I can not break it down any more but I have never seen a Mulsanne Blue SS Chevelle Convertible trimmed in black with this package.
I have also been told if I can prove that this is a Malibu it is 1 of 5. I have been preparing the car for the body shop and I have removed all of the parts that you don't see. I also have saved all of the parts that you don't see except the motor. This car is complete less the motor, it was lost years ago. The trans is #'s matching as the rest of the car. This car can take a lite on frame retro, as well as off. All of the chrome is in great shape and can be reused as well as the seats. The convertible top motor was installed by the previous owner and has never been used. There is also some front end work that has been done. The cowl has surface rust only, under the doors and jams have very little rust, mostly surface. The trunk pan has some small holes, but I would replace, and there is some rust in the floor pan.I have plenty of pic's if you e-mail me for I will try to show you the negatives spots. No surpises. I have also found at least 3 date coded motor from $600.00 to $2,100.00 VIN# 1D67U2b552757 TRIM TAG# ST 72 13667 Tr704A51 Bdy B437878 Pnt 26 B 11C Do595 Price - $ 12,500 Might take trade, American Muscle only, No Junk! |
