1965 Pontiac Grand Prix

I purchased this car in February from northern california. This is a all numbers matching car. We have the phs documented report. Everything checks out. The car runs and drives. I'm running it off a gas can because I don't trust whats in the gas tank. There was paperwork in the car stating that it had a new clutch installed back in the 80s. I've changed the oil and filter and the engine runs and sounds great. The trans shifts great with no hangups. When I got the car you could tell it had been hit lightly in the rear and the deck lid had a bow in it. I purchased a rust free deck lid from gm sports salvage for $375. Plus $80.00 to ship it to us. Then to assure the panel would fit correctly we sent it to a bodyshop to have it setup and measured - pull right quarter, pull rear body panel, remove rear trim and align decklid cost $300.00 - great deal. I have this car set aside to restore, the problem is I have 6 cars in front of it that need to get done first. I am not hurting for money and do not need to sell this car. I am offering it due to the fact that I would like to have it go to somebody that wants to restore it to its original state. What makes this car an easy restoration is that it is so complete and hasn't been touched or molested by a hacker. And it has never had aftermarket junk put on it. This is as original as it gets. The floor pans are excellant - the frame is excellant - the rear quarters are original - lower quarters and drops in and out are perfect - bottom of doors are perfect - bottom of fenders are perfect - all vin and body tags are present. The only thing i see buying for this car would be a rear bumper. I have the original bumper and brackets but the bumper is tweeked but great for a core towards a new one. And of course an interior kit and rug kit. All glass good except front windshield. These are the cars issues: light rust around rear window mainly below lower chrome moulding going straight across a very easy fix no panel needed. 2. Drivers fender has a bad area where the hood shuts - again small and easy to fix. 3. Trunk area has rust and small pin holes. I don't think the trunk pan needs to be cut out it can be repaired it is still solid in a lot of areas. Any questions call.
